I have been with the San Jose Mercury News since March 1, 2000. I previously worked at The Virginian-Pilot. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelors degree in photojournalism in 1995 I interned at the Ogden Standard Examiner, The Roanoke Times, the Greensboro News & Record and The Virginian-Pilot. I photograph news, features, business and sports, but I mostly concentrate on sports. I have covered four Olympic Games (Athens, Beijing, Vancouver and London), three World Series, two Super Bowls, a lot of Sharks playoff games, many Stanford basketball games, etc. I have won awards in POYi, NPPA Best of Photojournalism, San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association, Virginia News Photographers Association, and others.
